🧠 Why Me?
That first question hits most of us. Like you’ve been singled out. But here’s the real truth: your body is asking for support not punishment. The surgery isn’t a “failure.” It’s a lifeline. A way to get YOU back to living your life, not fighting your insides all the time.
That’s a shift worth understanding emotionally it’s not about giving up it’s about choosing a better quality of life.
🛍️ Okay. But What Products Do I Really Need?
The internet is full of product lists that make your head spin even more. But most people start with basics:
✔️ A trusted pouching system (adhesive + bag)
✔️ A skin barrier you can rely on this is personal; what works for you might not be the same as someone else
✔️ Odour-proof disposal bags
✔️ Cleaning wipes, barrier wipes, gentle cleansers
✔️ A travel kit for outings
You don’t need every gadget right away, just the essentials that keep your skin healthy and your confidence intact.
❓ Can People See It? What About the Smell?
Let’s be blunt: that’s one of the biggest fears out there.
👉 Most bags, pouches are low profile and discreet under clothing.
👉 Modern systems are built to reduce odour, especially if fitted well and changed regularly.
👉 People are generally not staring at your stomach like you think they are, most folks don’t even notice unless you tell them.
The insecurities usually live louder in your mind than in real life.
🧩 Changing a Bag? That Feels Scary Too…
It does feel daunting at first you’re touching your body in a totally new way. But with practice it becomes second nature.
Nurses will walk you through it step by step, and there are wonderful tutorials online made by people living with ostomy, stoma every day, not just clinical videos. (I can send you links if you want 😉)

Like many others in my position, I faced challenges that affected not only my physical health but also my confidence, mental well-being, and sense of identity.
At first, I struggled to embrace this new reality. I didn’t just want to live with a stoma, ostomy; I wanted to thrive. But finding products that made me feel confident, beautiful, and empowered was almost impossible. So, I decided to create them myself. ✂️💖
